Weblator Event Ticketing used for 3rd year at the The London Tattoo Convention

Back in 2013 we were approached by Creative Beast to revolutionise the way KingPin Tickets handled the advance tickets for The London Tattoo Convention. The event was already well established, being in its ninth year, but up until that point the advance tickets were always printed and posted manually... a very time consuming and expensive affair.

Enter Weblator! We researched, spec’d and built a custom online shop based on Weblator Ecommerce where tickets could be purchased online. Punters bought their tickets with them on the day for scanning... either printed or on their mobiles device (some with smashed screens inevitably!).

London Tattoo Convention, Creative Beast and Weblator staff were all enrolled in the scanning process. This involved simply scanning the tickets with our custom App which we had built and installed on a number of iPads. The process was quick, slick and in all honesty, a joy to behold!

The number of advance tickets sold exceeded all expectations.

The three day event went off without a hitch, and I have to say seeing wave after wave of tickets being scanned and people funnelled into the event - it was one of our finest moments.

Hell, Ollie was almost tempted to get a 'Weblator rule' tattoo!

So, now in our 3rd year of handling the advance tickets, the whole process is a like a well oiled machine. Tickets were sold throughout the year, and the ticket scanning on the day went perfectly, as expected.
